Graduate Researcher, Wildlife Data Collection and Analysis, Columbia University, New York, NY, 2021

  • Deployed 40 motion-activated camera traps along an urban-wild gradient to survey the local carnivore population, alone and while supervising others

  • Collaborated with local landowners and government stakeholders to receive appropriate permits for cameras

  • Organized, managed and identified 100,000+ camera trap images in the online photo repository, eMammal  

  • Used the following software applications in RStudio to perform single-season, single-species occupancy models and temporal analyses: UNMARKED, CORRPLOT, ACTIVITY, and OVERLAP

  • Identified camera trap locations and environmental site characteristics surrounding camera sites using using the Quantum Geographic Information Systems (QGIS) platform and Google Earth Engine satellite imagery
